I'm Tyler Wesson.
Product Designer • Human-Computer Interaction Master’s Student
Currently, I work as a Product Designer in State Farm’s Innovation Group.
As Founding Designer at Diddo, I helped secure $2.8M in funding with an interactive prototype in 2024.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies from UC Berkeley and I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction and Design at UC Irvine. In my spare time, I also volunteer design support for youth-focused non-profits.
My design philosophy:
1
Resourceful ideation
I build by leveraging analysis of market competitors, low-cost concept presentation, and design systems to move products down the pipeline efficiently.
2
Stakeholder alignment
No one likes surprises when it comes to the work they need to do. I involve everyone: product managers, developers, marketers, and even executives to get buy-in and build a vision everyone can get behind.
3
Scalability
I firmly believe the future must always be considered when designing solutions. If we brace for impact — whether it be market, technical capabilities or something else — we pave the way for product expansion and an extended market lifespan.
